Modifications

Friday the van got an oil change and bit of tuneup, purrs like a lion now. Yes, I mean lion. Removed the step on the outside and it now rattles less. It's going to be the tackiest nicest journey ever.

Sunday, Merv worked on a few more modifications to the inside of the travelling home. He picked up some fantastic speakers at his favorite store St. Vincent DePaul and mounted them in the same fashion as the former owner, in plastic containers with lids now it has sound surround. It already has a cd player and the ability to plug in your mp3 player, phone or other auxiliary device. Pictures to come. Then he exchanged the carpet for a layer of rubber on the floor - more practical for a dog and a lot of traffic in and out. We are musing about what to add / delete for table space and being able to hold a laptop open and safe while watching movies on the road (the girls not the drivers), very important considerations.

The dog seems to be feeling better now as well. Yesterday he was outside when it started to pour and when I opened the door to go get him, carry him that his, he ran upstairs and into the house without so much as a whimper of pain. He is learning to cope with his back issue now and not hurt himself so much. Vet visit again soon.
