Angela's new House

The trip to Napanee went very well, ended up just Pam and I on the road.  No time issues just a leisurely drive the two something hours we took to get there.  I was a little shocked by the state of the interior of the house when I got there.  They were in the process of tearing everything off the walls and floors to discover and get rid of the numerous hidden errors.
They have big plans and I'm confident it will all come together in the end, however, what a challenge!

The weather co-operated nicely, it was 25 C and with occasional cloud cover, not too warm.  Pam and I bought some ham, fixings and bread to make some sandwiches and some fruit and drinks so we could help out.  I currently can't seem to function well with some bursitis and sciatica happening - probably due to some trauma and the fact that I sit at a job regularly all day.

Yesterday we had an Easter dinner with our friends and neighbors the Bacques.  We haven't seen much of them all winter, but this weekend marked a start of summer and get togethers for us yet again.  I might add here that we have been friends for about 19 years, having raised our kids together and enjoy camping and hanging out some evenings in one another's back or front yards.

Our dinner was a very nice boneless ham and some homemade buns donated by us and some fantastic scalloped potatos and brocolli salad vinagrette with pine nuts donated by the Bacques.  It was very filling and for desert we had seconds!  It was a nice evening with all of here except Lisa who spent the Easter weekend in Newfoundland in school.  We missed her - thinking about you Lisa.
